What is ROMA?
ROMA addresses an organization’s planning, implementation, management, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting processes. ROMA strategies may be a paradigm shift for many; it looks at the end result you want to achieve first – then helps you build backwards to achieve that result (outcome or change) using the resources you already have in place and helping you develop resources that may be missing.
Doesn’t the Community Action Network Already Use ROMA?
Officially, since 2000, ROMA has been a part of the Community Action Network’s reporting process. Since 1964, when the Economic Opportunity Act was signed, Community Action Agencies (CAAs) have struggled with tight economic times, closer scrutiny of community action programs, and increased funder expectations. ROMA training techniques and tools move your agency from just meeting compliance in your reporting, to moving your agency toward a greater level of agency excellence. With ROMA training and tools you use what you already have in place and build on it. ROMA processes and tools should permeate your agency at every phase of planning, implementation, management, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting processes.
